Wine characteristics
The color is ruby with subtle hints; on the nose, you’ll find fruity notes of peach and blackberry, delicate floral hints of rose, and subtle touches of spice like pepper and licorice. On the palate, it is substantial, supported by lively yet well-integrated tannins; it finishes with a fresh and pleasing acidity.
The subsoil
The area is part of the Sant’Agata Fossil Marls Laminated, dating back to the Tortonian-Messinian transition period.
